![]() If you manage this you'll unlock the character. What this means is you should stand behind the rock when the stampeding animals come through, then quickly switch to the other side of the rock for when they come from the other direction. To get Mufasa you need to play as Simba and spend 12 seconds near stampedes. This hidden character can be unlocked by playing as Hookhand in the Tangled theme, and playing the piano (the brown instrument that shows up on the track) 10 times. Do this 25 times, across multiple runs, to grab Ezra Beane. I'm giving it 3.5 rubber chickens.Play as Phineas Plump and get an armour to chase you - then hop away to stay alive. I get the feeling that indie developer Hipster Whale has taken this opportunity with Disney to go back to their original game and put in heaps of cool little features. You can just jump in and try to get as far as possible in easy quick bursts of gaming and my heart-rate definitely goes up when I'm on a good run! I'm giving it 4 rubber chickens. I actually think this is one of those almost perfect mobile games. I think it's because this time around there's more of a variety here, and charming little details too - like the way certain characters have unique animations. Guys, I will admit I wasn't a massive fan of the original Crossy Road, but there's something about this one that's this that turned it around for me, something about it that's hard to shake. This way you can happily play as any of the characters without worrying that you won't do as well as someone else. The differences to the characters are largely aesthetic too, meaning that the look of the character bears no relation to their movement speed. ![]() It's good you can still get those ones by luck. That made me so happy to unlock a rare character like Sergeant Calhoun - because those ones are more expensive to buy with real money. There's something about that gift machine that is so satisfying. Every 100 coins lets you unlock a free character, otherwise you will need to pay real money to unlock the characters you want. Like the original Crossy Road, Disney Crossy Road slowly doles out rewards as you play in the form of virtual coins. Yeah, I think The Lion King is my favourite, because it's ALL animals and those stampedes are intense! But on the Tangled level my score is kinda low because of those barrels and snakes! I do like that it replaces the cars with horses though. For instance, I have a much higher score on the Wreck it Ralph world, because it's full of score multipliers in the form of little candies. Here you're dealing with a multitude of moving objects- some coming straight towards you! It's heccas Hex!īecause these levels play so differently, your scores on each are kept separate. Inside-Out challenges you to collect shiny cubes and place them in receptacles- and I think the hardest is Toy Story. Yeah, this was a big surprise to me! While old mate Mickey's level is pretty vanilla, Zootopia has snowstorms that make it harder to see what's coming. And these levels are hugely varied, not just in how they look, but in how they play. ![]() But first, some basics, Crossy Road is an Endless runner, or as we call it, an endless crosser, as the main gameplay mechanic is to tap the screen to cross a variety of roads, train lines and rivers to get as far as you possibly can before you're knocked flat or fall off the map.īut what Disney Crossy Road does is add entirely new levels based on Disney films. You might be with their game Crossy Road, but NOW they've taken it to a whole new level with Disney Crossy Road!Īnd they haven't JUST added Disney Character skins. Alright cobbers, let's kick off our first Aussie review and it comes from Melbourne based studio Hipster Whale.
